Jana Passe believes successful coastal ownership depends on more than choosing the right property. It also depends on preparation, communication, and understanding the real-world details that come after closing.

Before becoming a licensed North Carolina real estate broker, Jana spent 16 years managing a boutique law firm in Raleigh and working as a head paralegal. That experience shaped the way she serves clients today: organized, detail-focused, responsive, and committed to helping people feel informed and supported throughout the process.

Real estate became personal for Jana when she and her husband, Jeff Wells, began investing in coastal property. With a decade of real estate investing experience, they have personally owned, improved, marketed, and operated vacation rental properties on Topsail Island and in the Bahamas. That hands-on experience gives Jana a practical understanding of coastal ownership from the owner’s side, the guest’s side, and the service side.

A major part of Jana’s work is helping homeowners through short-term rental co-hosting and rental support. She likes helping owners feel less overwhelmed by the behind-the-scenes details of operating a vacation rental, from listing support and guest communication to cleaning coordination, vendor communication, owner support, and rental-readiness preparation.

Jana notices the small things that can make a big difference: layout, durability, cleaning flow, guest appeal, maintenance needs, house rules, owner expectations, and whether a property is truly prepared for the experience guests expect.
